Deer Valley Airport provides economic access to the markets of the state and the nation, making Phoenix and surrounding communities a prime destination for both business and leisure travelers. According to preliminary world airport traffic rankings released by Airports Council International (ACI) World, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport was the fifth busiest airport in the world for takeoffs and landings in 2020. The airport offers excellent opportunities for companies to grow their business in the North Valley with easy access to major freeways, ideally located near high quality regional corporate campuses, large retail developments and affluent master planned communities.  Further, the Deer Valley and North Phoenix area offers World-class resorts, cultural attractions, entertainment, dining, golf, and outdoor attractions such as the Sonoran Desert Preserve that are all easily accessible near Deer Valley Regional Airport.

As a result, valley businesses and residents interested in the continued success of the Deer Valley area and Deer Valley Regional Airport have formed Friends of Deer Valley.

The Friends of Deer Valley coalition, formed in 2022, is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization.  The Coalition strives to educate the public about the economic benefits and quality of life advantages Deer Valley Regional airport brings to the people of Arizona and is dedicated to supporting the continued development of the airport, the enhancement of its existing operations, and in advocating for businesses and residents located in the Deer Valley area.  As the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area continues to grow, it is extremely important that we support the vital services and growth of Deer Valley and its’ regional airport, which serves the traveling public as well as local employers, leisure travelers and residents.

 The Friends of Deer Valley Coalition’s activities can include:

• Coalition building to support the Deer Valley Regional Airport

• Community outreach and engagement

• Outreach to businesses and elected leaders

• Sponsorship of neighborhood tool trailers used during annual Coalition neighborhood cleanups and by neighborhood associations throughout Northern Phoenix

• Provide support for area organizations

• Coalition activities, events, and programs where members can share views and learn from city of Phoenix and Deer Valley airport decision makers

• E-mail bulletins and alerts

• Relevant research

• Protecting the airport from those who want to limit its’ potential
